What is a magnet crawler?
A Magnet Crawler is a machine, or a robot, if you will, about the same size as a regular lawn mower. The unique and innovative feature of a Magnet Crawler is that it uses extremely powerful magnets to stick to various surfaces such as steel.
The robot can be steered in any direction from the appropriate distance by a single operator using a remote control. As a result, we can now perform a wide range of diverse jobs that without the use of a Magnet Crawler would require a much larger and more cumbersome set-up. For example, a Magnet Crawler can crawl up and down vertical walls and even stick to ceilings, where it can also be manoeuvred around while cleaning with a high-pressure water jet.
No need for scaffolding
When it comes to cleaning large silos, industrial tanks and the like, scaffolding is a big cost in the overall picture. In addition, it takes a long time to erect and secure scaffolding before the actual work can even begin. In some cases, it will also be impossible to use scaffolding, for example, when cleaning ship hulls.
